
Tailwheel Endorsement
Our Tail Wheel Endorsement course equips you with the skills to safely operate tail wheel (taildragger) aircraft in compliance with CASA regulations. You’ll learn the unique handling characteristics of tail wheel aircraft, including ground handling, take-off and landing techniques, and crosswind operations. With expert dual instruction, you’ll gain confidence in managing the challenges and rewards of tail wheel flying.

Prerequisites

Hold at least a CASA PPL (or higher) with current flight review.

Current medical certificate appropriate to licence.​

Requirements
Flight Training Requirements (CASA minimums):

Competency-based training (typically 3–5 hours dual).

Demonstrated ability to conduct safe take-offs, landings, taxiing, and crosswind operations in tail wheel aircraft.
Theory Requirements:

Ground instruction covering tail wheel aircraft characteristics, handling techniques, and emergency procedures.

Knowledge check with instructor prior to flight.
