Multi Engine Class Rating
Our Multi-Engine Class Rating course prepares you to safely operate multi-engine aircraft in compliance with CASA regulations. You’ll master multi-engine aerodynamics, engine failure procedures, systems management, and advanced handling techniques. With expert instruction, you’ll gain the confidence and competence to fly more complex aircraft efficiently and safely.

Prerequisites

Hold a current CASA Private Pilot Licence (PPL) or higher.

Hold a current medical certificate appropriate to licence.

Completed a flight review within the last 24 months.​

Requirements
Flight Training Requirements (CASA minimums):

Competency-based training tailored to the aircraft type (typically 5–7 hours dual).

Demonstrated ability to perform multi-engine procedures including engine-out operations, asymmetric flight, and emergency drills.
Theory Requirements:

Ground instruction covering multi-engine aerodynamics, systems, performance, and emergency procedures.

Knowledge check or theory exam prior to flight training.

This training can be conducted in our P68 Partenavia JQM or your own mutli engine aircraft.
