Retractable Undercarriage Endorsement
Our Retractable Undercarriage Endorsement course trains you to safely operate aircraft equipped with retractable landing gear, in compliance with CASA regulations. You’ll learn proper gear extension and retraction procedures, emergency gear handling, and systems management. Through practical flight training and expert instruction, you’ll develop the confidence and precision necessary to operate these aircraft efficiently and safely.

Prerequisites

Hold at least a CASA PPL (or higher) with current flight review.

Current medical certificate appropriate to licence.

Requirments
Flight Training Requirements (CASA minimums):

Competency-based flight training (typically 3–5 hours dual).

Demonstrated proficiency in retracting and extending the undercarriage under normal and emergency conditions.

Familiarity with aircraft systems related to retractable gear operation.
Theory Requirements:

Ground instruction on landing gear systems, operational procedures, failure modes, and emergency procedures.

Knowledge check with instructor before flight training.
