Low Level Endorsement

Our Low Level Endorsement course prepares you to operate safely and legally at altitudes below 500 feet AGL in accordance with CASA requirements. You’ll develop precision handling skills, improve hazard awareness, and learn techniques for safe flight close to the surface. Training covers navigation, terrain following, and environmental considerations, ensuring you can operate effectively in specialised operations such as mustering, survey, or aerial photography.

Prerequisites

  • Hold at least a CASA PPL (or higher) with current flight review.

  • Current medical certificate appropriate to licence.​

Requirements

Flight Training Requirements (CASA minimums):

  • Competency-based training (typically 5–7 hours dual).

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct safe low-level flight, including turns, climbs, descents, and accurate height control.

  • Training in hazard identification, avoidance, and emergency procedures.

Theory Requirements:

  • Ground training covering CASA low flying regulations, human factors, environmental hazards, wire and obstacle awareness, and emergency actions.

  • Knowledge check with instructor prior to flight.
